Hi, Lil Sis is back. I will continue my posting about Autumn in Korea. Still at Day 4, after we go to Soingook Theme Park, we go to our next destination, Osulloc Tea Museum. It’s still located at Seogwipo, soit’s not so far from Soingook. This museum is so big, it has large green tea farm here, cafe, exhibition hall, the room for learn something about tea, there are also a Innisfree there. The yard and parking area is so big too. You can strolling there, to see green and enjoy the breeze leisurely. Anyway, it’s free to enter this place, no parking fee, no entrance fee. But if you hungry and buy some food there, of course you must pay.

The display for the museum is not a lot. there are various style of tea cup and teapot. Some painting too. But that’s it. There is just one room to display all of this, and that room also bring you directly to the cafe and a shop that you can buy tea. The cafe and the shop has more visitor than the display room. Maybe some people will think it’s just an entrance to go to the shop. Not something related to museum. But as I said before, the area is so big, there are some building, separated from the main building. When we walk around, we found some building that full with people learning something. The building has glass wall, so we can see people inside. The seat is full and their face look serious. I think they learn how to make tea well or something related to tea.

After, go to Yakcheonsa temple, and Soingook we didn’t eat anything. And with just porridge  for breakfast. We started to feel hungry. So we stop at the cafe. In Seoul you can find Osulloc tea house. It same with Osulloc tea museum in Jeju, the different is, they just have cafe and shop, no farm, no exhibition hall, and no room for study, no big yard, and no big parking area. In the cafe they sell food and drink related to green tea and of course they also sell the tea. If you are a tea lover, you must buy the tea, or at least you can buy it for a present to your family or friends. Because we need something to fill our stomach,we buy 2 sponge cake. 1 green tea sponge cake with vanilla filling 1 chocolate sponge cake with green tea filling. I really really like this sponge cake, especially the choco one. Because I think the green tea is dry not so moist like the chocolate. But actually both is good. The filling is not too sweet, so it’s perfect.

We also bought green tea ice cream. We buy 1 green tea with red bean , green tea sponge cake and something crispy as topping. The ice cream is also good too. not too sweet but treat our craving with sweet thing. I recommend you to try the sponge cake and the ice cream if you go here.

After, we eat. We go to innisfree. We know that innisfree have so much product with green tea and volcano things. Mostly of their ingredient is from Jeju. that’s why there are innisfree here. We go there with end in mind want to buy something to  our friend and family that ask us to buy for them. We entered the place, there are a lot of student there. I think they are in study tour, they learn how to make soap there. DIY soap, they can choose what ingredient they want, green tea, volcano, lemon, citrus, orange. They look happy, and I want to try too , but I think we must have a reservation first before. Unfortunately we didn’t buy anything there. We decided to buy when we are in Seoul. So after that, we just do some strolling in the yard and of course took a photo. here they are :

This yard is exactly near in front of innisfree. there are some bench with table there. And it can rotate, so we can sit there and rotate ourselver 360 degrees to see all around us. But some of them can not rotate anymore maybe because of the rust. We found Ilalang there. Miss Pepz has a desire to take a photo with ilalang. So when we found it, we immediately line up there to took a photo. Pretty isn’t it? Hahahaha

Look at me, I sat on the rotating bench, right in front of the green tea farm. it’s so  nice right. Sitting around here, look bright blue sky, and really green and neat tea farm. We also can go inside the farm. Took poto with the tea from near and close. Hahahaha. In Indonesia there are tea farm too, in Bogor , Malang, Bandung, or another place with not hot weather. the tea grow well in cold air. One of my wish is took a photo in tea farm there. But I think my wish come true in Korea.

After being around this area, we decided to move to another place. We decided to go to Jeju Glass Castle and on the way go there , we will find a place to have lunch.  But unfortunately we didn’t find any restaurant, so we end up eat at restaurant in Jeju glass castle. It is located in front of Jeju Glass castle, near the parking area. The restauranWe order abalone bibimbap for our lunch.

Mixed Abalone Bibimbap and Side Dish

Our Bibimbap consisted of Abalone, fish roe, yellow radish, kimchi, enoki mushroom, dried sea weed, and of course rice. It’s not as good as sashimi bibimbap I ate at Busan, but it’s not bad too, and because we are really hungry, we still finish it until nothing in our bowl. We also got side dish like kimchi, bean, potato salad, fish cake, veggie, and seaweed soup. the fish cake is really good, and the soup also refreshing. Although the bibimbap is just good, not extraordinary, and the abalone is just a little, we still ate our lunch happily.

After we eat, we go to purchase the entrance ticket for Jeju Glass Castle. We need to pay 9000 KRW for that. After got the ticket, we immediately enter. We found a really big beanstalk made from glass in our entrance. With some gold eggs below. This place full of glass, so be careful not to break them.

There are a lot of something like this in Korea. Pond with so many coins inside. I think Korean People like something like this, testing their luck. We have tried it when we at Busan, with help from Sung oppa, we throw coin t Haedongyonggung Temple. It’s kind addicting i think, but we lack of coin so we didn’t try it here.

Jeju Glas Castle – Magical Forest

There ara Magical forest section in Jeju glass castle. We will explore forest with a lot of colorful glass there. I think it will be perfect if go there in the evening, when the sky darker, the glass will be lighted and it will feel more magical. We tried back again int the afternoon, too get the effect, but unfortunately they close at 6.00 pm even earlier when late autumn and winter. So we missed it. So for you that want to go here, maybe you can go here around 4.30 pm, so you can get the light effect. Don’t forget to bring a good camera to capture the light.

There are a lot of wind chimes there. It is hanged on top of our head, and when the wind blows, it make a magical sound. it’s so cool I think, sound is so clear and make this forest like a place that you doesn’t want to leave.
